Non-Insurance repairs
Townley offers non-insurance related repairs at very competitive rates. We can supply you with a free estimate for bodywork if you do not wish to involve your insurance company.

Vehicle Restoration
One of Townley's specialities is 'ground up' restorations to older or classic vehicles. This can include a full picture history on CD of the various stages throughout the process for you to keep for your records. You are welcome to visit us at any time during the project.
All types of paintwork
We have on-site specialist colour-matching for older and classic vehicles, and the latest water-based systems for modern vehicles.
Recovery/Breakdown
Townley offers a Recovery Service - this could be from the scene of an accident or from your home address if your vehicle is un-roadworthy. We are also able to collect and deliver your vehicle, if required.
Free estimates
All our estimates are free of charge. We give estimates for insurance and private work. If you have a busy schedule and are unable to get to us or your car is un-roadworthy we can arrange to come to you.
Alloy wheel refurbishment
Townley can undertake wheel refurbishment that includes diamond polishing and hand finishing. Tyres can also be supplied at competitive rates.
Welding and Fabrication
Our experienced welders and fabricators are able to repair or re-make damaged parts, especially on restoration projects.
Pre-Purchase Inspection
If you are considering purchasing a vehicle – new or secondhand – you may need assurance from a professional source that the vehicle is exactly what it appears to be. Our extensive experience in vehicle repair and paintwork can be used for a pre-purchase inspection and report. We will endeavour to find any previous accident repairs that have not been carried out to a satisfactory standard which could affect the price or, indeed, the safety of the vehicle.

Caterham Builds and Body Shop
Townley's founder has a very keen interest in Caterhams/Lotus 7 and as a result Townley carries out paintwork and accident repairs for the Caterham factory that is located nearby. We are happy to offer a full range of services for the discerning Caterham owner, this includes new builds to your exact specification; refurbishments of 'tired' Caterhams and track day misdemeanours!!!; individual paintwork to make your Caterham stand out in the crowd and bespoke engineering for any non-standard mods you may have in mind.
